Built for the GTM work other tools leave with your team.

Segment8 turns market evidence into the message, owned work and seller guidance your business needs to respond. We build for B2B teams that cannot afford to lose the answer between strategy and the deal.

The team needs the thinking behind the plan.

Product Marketing owns positioning and market context. RevOps sees deal outcomes. Product understands the customer. Sales hears the objections. Enablement turns decisions into guidance.

Each team holds part of what the business needs to know.

As companies grow, that knowledge spreads across documents, Slack, spreadsheets and specialist tools. People spend time finding the latest version, checking the reasoning and explaining the same decision again. The strategy loses context as it changes hands.

Segment8 keeps the evidence, the decision and the work together. Product Marketing can set the direction, colleagues can see their next step, and Sales can use the current message with its supporting proof. That is the work Segment8 is built to run.

    How we build Segment8.

    01

    We have conviction

We make clear choices, explain them, and change our view when the evidence changes.

    02

    We sell momentum, not administration

Segment8 should help a team make the next decision and ship the next response. It should not create another system to maintain.

    03

We are product led but not product-anonymous

People should be able to understand and try the product. They should also know who built it and get a direct answer when they need one.

    04

    We understand commercial teams

We build for the deadlines, trade-offs, evidence gaps, and internal pressure that GTM teams face.

    05

We are willing to challenge established vendors

Established software often preserves established processes. We question both when they slow teams down.

    06

    We care about craft

Words, workflows, edge cases, and visual details matter. We do not treat polish as separate from usefulness.

    Founder interview

    A Conversation With Kris.

Kris Carter on the customer problem behind Segment8, why competitive intelligence is only the starting point, and what a trustworthy GTM intelligence platform must do.

Edited from the Segment8 founder FAQ for length and clarity.

What problem did you keep seeing?

“I kept seeing useful GTM information spread across documents, spreadsheets, Slack, CRM notes, and people’s heads. A team would build a manual system, it would work for a few weeks, and then it would become old. People went back to asking the person who knew.”

    What does that fragmentation cost?

“The visible cost is time and repeated work. The bigger cost is trust. When people stop believing the information, every decision starts from scratch. Responses get slower, work is duplicated, and teams can lose deals with an old or incomplete picture.”

Why is a knowledge base or chatbot not enough?

“Chat makes access easier. It does not solve the hard work of connecting sources, structuring GTM context, and keeping the knowledge current. A useful answer needs the source, date, and original material. It must also say when the evidence is limited, conflicting, or old.”

    Why start with competitive intelligence?

“It is a clear and urgent problem. But a competitor move only becomes useful when you can test it against sales feedback, deal outcomes, buyer evidence, and the guidance your team uses. Competitive intelligence is the starting point, not the boundary.”

    How broad is the ambition?

“I want Segment8 to become the intelligence layer for the whole GTM organisation. It connects sales conversations, customer feedback, deal outcomes, competitor activity and product context so teams can see what changed and decide what happens next. Your CRM and specialist tools keep their records; Segment8 connects the evidence between them.”

    Where does human judgement fit?

“Human judgement stays central. The platform removes administration, connects the evidence and shows what supports a recommendation. The person responsible decides with that context in view. A trustworthy system makes uncertainty visible instead of hiding it.”

    Privacy is part of Segment8.

Segment8 processes commercially sensitive information. We limit who can access it, where we send it and how long we keep it.

    Your content remains yours

The information you add to Segment8 belongs to you. We use it to provide the service. We do not sell it or share it with other customers.

    Every workspace is isolated

Application and database controls limit access to the organisations and workspaces each person is authorised to use.

    Access is limited by default

People, services and integrations receive only the access they need. Administrative access is limited to defined support, security and operational work.

    AI serves the requested task

Segment8 sends information to an AI provider only when a feature needs it. We do not use customer content to train AI models.

    Retention has a purpose

We retain customer data while it is needed to provide the service. We then delete or anonymise it, subject to legal and backup requirements.

    Deletion closes access first

When an account enters the erasure process, Segment8 blocks further access, including access from an existing login session, while it removes the data.
